Help an anti-blogger learning to blog

Well, after spending way to much time looking for sites that I might want to suggest to anyone as something worth taking a look at, I'm trying to stay positive about this whole blogging thing. I really am. I actually read a few things that were okay, I guess. I think that I have to change my perception of blogging and perhaps the internet in general. I'm certainly not anti tech, I couldn't imagine life without my PC - just have never been one to spend a whole lot of time surfing the internet beyond email, quick news, movie info and mapquest - okay I've looked at some porno, sometimes it looks for me! Can I just claim that I busy and hate wasting time wading through crap to find anything of value?
